November 8, 2009 - "Who does she think she is" Women's Art Expo
Hosted by Lakeside Arts Foundation and Peace Project International.

Location: Artfest Expo Center, 13342 Midway Road, in Dallas, Texas.

Join us from 1 to 6 PM to see local women’s artwork displayed in Artfest’s magnificent gallery among treasured works from all over the world.

At 2:30 PM there will be a special screening of the film, “Who does she think she is?” a documentary about the issues faced by women artists. Following the film, at 4:30 will be a discussion time, followed by “Meet The Artists” reception and a tour of the art gallery.

Kaleidoscapes Unveiling and Dedication Ceremony

On February 20, 2009, City Hall and The Lakeside Arts Foundation enjoyed a special ceremony to celebrate the completion of our collaborative community art project, Kaleidoscapes.

The lights in the sculptures were turned on for the first time at this event. Live entertainment and refreshments were enjoyed by everyone.

Spring Variety Show 
The Lakeside Arts Foundation hosted their third annual Community Variety Show in the Spring. The whole community was invited to audition. Acts were selected based on quality and appropriateness.

The Variety Show was held at Five Star Park, 4100 Blair Oaks Drive, in The Colony. There was no mandatory admission fee, but donations to the Kaleidoscape public art project were accepted.
